Kioku lives on your Mac, quietly capturing what you hear and see — then lets you ask ChatGPT or Claude anything about your day, and actually get an answer.
macOS 14+ · On-device processing · Your recordings never leave your Mac
Demo coming soon
Watch someone ask ChatGPT about their day — Kioku answers.
"What did the client say about pricing this morning?" — Ask your AI assistant anything. Kioku provides the context.
Download Kioku, sign in with Google in one click, and connect it to ChatGPT or Claude as an MCP tool. That's the entire setup.
Kioku listens to your mic and system audio, transcribes speech in real time using on-device ML (multilingual, works offline), and periodically OCRs your screen. Everything stays local: only the resulting text syncs to your encrypted cloud archive.
"Who was in my 2pm call?" — "What did we decide about the launch date?" Just ask. Kioku surfaces the moment from your archive and cites it.
Kioku is local-first by design. Your audio recordings and screenshots never leave your Mac. The only thing that touches a server is the text — and even that is locked inside a hardware-attested secure enclave.
Raw audio and screenshots are processed entirely on-device. Only the resulting text transcripts and OCR output are synced — your actual recordings stay local, always.
Your text archive lives in a GCP Confidential Space VM (AMD SEV memory encryption). The per-user AES-256-GCM decryption key is only released to the exact, attested enclave image — not to us, not to GCP operators.
GCP Confidential Space · AMD SEVEvery user's database is encrypted with a separate key. Even in the unlikely event of a data breach, one user's data reveals nothing about another's.
The enclave image is open source. You can inspect exactly what code runs in the trusted environment and confirm that the attestation matches the published source.
Kioku is in free early access while we onboard people one at a time. Leave your email and we’ll reach out with a download link and setup help as soon as a spot opens.
